ABOUT THE FUN LITTER PICKUP CLUB


​Our mission is to blend fun and friendship with litter removal, thus ensuring the sustainability of our efforts and our community.

HISTORY

​The Rosedale Fun Litter Pickup Club was founded in March of 2017 in response to the growing litter problem in our community. One of the many things that makes our historic neighborhood special is our pride and sense of community. It is this pride that inspired a small band of residents to pioneer our war on trash. Since its inception, this tight-knit group has expanded to over 45 regular members and countless part-time volunteers. Hundreds of bags of trash and exponential amounts of fun later, we have developed an diverse group of volunteers of all ages and ethnicities, and strengthened the ties in our expanding local family. 

Trash may have inspired us, but our ties to each other drive us to be great stewards of our home for years to come.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE

​We meet from March through November (weather permitting) on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9:30 a.m. Meet at Rosa cafe on Grand River. When you arrive, grab a drink and get ready to meet our community! We will meet as a group before we head out to clean up our little world.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING

What to WEAR:
Weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes (close-toed, no sandals)—SOMETHING YOU CAN GET DIRTY IN!

What to BRING:
We recommend bringing lightweight gardening gloves, a hat, and your own personal brand of enthusiasm! We’ll provide any necessary supplies and a chance to get to know your neighbors!
